I came here with my goddaughter. This is our 1st time. We are so glad that we came here. The food is super fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place. You have to try at least once. I will definitely come here again even it is pricey but it worth it.
Went here before going to a musical with son and sister. Amazing sushi. We were bout 15 min early but they were able to siit us in a quiet booth. I had sashimi and sister had sushi special. Both were cuts chosen by chef, the boy had yakatori and some steamed dumplings and he loved it. Mine was fantastic and sisters even better. I was given 4 different fish cut not too thin which i like. All very fresh and flavorful. Sisters nagiri was specially prepared and they took her soy sauce away saying it was already marinated. Hers had some toppings such as tofu foam or idk what but looked amazing and she loved it. We cant wait to go back.
This review has been sitting in my drafts! My husband and I had dinner here on a Saturday night and had an excellent meal. We had a reservation and were glad we made one, all tables were full! It's on the pricier side, but everything we ordered was excellent so we felt like it was worth the price. There aren't many great sushi spots in this area, so it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood or want to grab dinner before catching a Broadway show. We loved the fatty tuna scallion roll, it was melt in your mouth delicious. Definitely our favorite that we tried, but all of the pieces we tried were fresh and tasty. They offer omakase as well (but it seemed overpriced for the number of pieces you get, so we opted to order from the regular menu). And of course, you can never go wrong with mochi to end the meal!
One of my qualms about New York is that they don't have a lot of omakase but fewer spots serve up delicious sushi rolls -- Sushi of Gari does both! They have a few locations in the city, but this one was tucked away near Broadway and Times Square. The service here is fantastic, the staff is attentive and sweet. The rolls were super unique, with my favorite being the Oyster and Scallop. I also ordered a few of their Nigiri, surprise standout being the Tomato Salmon. Everything was really fresh and I totally want to come back for their omakase!
Great experience! Amazing and creative sushis. Like never we've tasted before. Do try the special Gari sushi, Waw ! Very nice atmosphere also. The hostess and the waitress were also very nice. Great staff !
